How To: Paint on Fabric

It is super easy to paint on fabrics, and it can be a really fun project for t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, zip pouches, etc.

All you need are a few things: a paint brush, some type of acrylic paint, fabric/textile medium, and something to paint.

*While you can use only acrylic paint, the fabric medium will make the paint softer when it dries, and it won't crack as much over time.

Instructions:

1. Wash whatever you want to paint (to pre-shrink it), and let it fully dry.

2. Choose your paint colors. Mix 1 part paint and 2 parts fabric medium.

3. Paint away!

4. Let your painted item set for 24 hours

*When washing this item later on, wash it inside out in cold water.
